Blue Hen Women Ninth After First Day of Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – The University of Delaware women's golf team sits in ninth place following Sunday's first round of the season-opening Golfweek Fall Challenge.

The Blue Hens fired a 293 score to finish the day in ninth place out of 20 teams. Campbell, Austin Peay and Lipscomb are tied for the lead with 279 scores.

Christina Carroll and Anna Kittelson are each tied for 17th place among individuals with an even par 71 on the par 71, 6,026-yard Caledonia Golf & Fish Club course. Both players recorded five birdies during their rounds on Sunday.

Alisa Khokhlova, who posted 17 pars and just one bogey, is tied for 21st place with a one over par 72. Lilia Henkel, playing as an individual, is tied for 54th place with a four over par 75.

Lexi Dart carded an eight over par 79 to end the day in a tie for 86th place while Alice Sundberg, who fired an eagle on the first hole, is tied for 93rd place with a nine over par 80.

The second round of the three-day tournament will begin at 7:50 a.m. on Monday.
