Carroll Ties Three-Round Program Record, Finishes Fourth at Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. – Blue Hen junior Christina Carroll tied the three-round UD record with a 207 to tie for fourth place at the Golfweek Fall Challenge.
Carroll, who fired a 71 and 67 during the first two rounds of the tournament, carded a 69 on Tuesday on the par 71, 6,026-yard Caledonia Golf & Fish Club course to finish tied for fourth among individuals with a six under par 71-67-69=207. She tied the 54-hole program record held by Thitaree Sakulbunpanich, who carded a 207 at the Edisto Island Invitational on Mar. 31-Apr. 1, 2019.
Erica Scutt of Austin Peay was the tournament medalist by finishing at nine under par, while Tomita Arejola of Campbell finished one shot back.
Alisa Khokhlova, who recorded three birdies during her final round 71, tied for 20th place at the tournament with a two over par 72-72-71=215. Anna Kittelson also carded three birdies during her 71 on Tuesday, tying for 25th place with a three over par 71-74-71=216.
Playing as an individual, Lilia Henkel shot a one under par 70 during her final round which featured a birdie on 11 and 17 pars. Henkel tied for 45th place at the invitational with a nine over par 75-77-70=222.
Lexi Dart tied for 84th place with a 19 over par 79-80-73=232, while Alice Sundberg tied for 93rd place with a 26 over par 80-74-85=239.
The Blue Hens recorded their lowest team round of the tournament with a 284 score on Tuesday, tying for sixth place out of 20 squads with an 864 total. Campbell easily captured the team title with an 834 score, while UNCW placed second at 850.
Delaware returns to the course on Sunday through Tuesday at the Wisconsin Badger Invitational in Madison, Wis.
