MADISON, Wis. – Alisa Khokhlova is tied for fourth place among individuals while Delaware is tied for eighth place in the team standings after Sunday's opening round of the Badger Invitational.
Khokhlova fired a one under par 71 on the par 72, 6,248-yard University Ridge course, as she birdied four of the first six holes during her round and finished with 12 pars on the day. She is four shots behind Notre Dame's Lauren Beaudreau, who leads the tournament at five under.
Christina Carroll is tied for 23rd place with a two over par 74, while Lilia Henkel is tied for 37th place with a four over par 76. Anna Kittelson carded a five over par 77 to end the day in a tie for 50th place, while Oihana Etxezarreta recorded a six over par 78 and is tied for 55th place. Lene Sperling, playing as an individual, sits in 75th place with a 99 round.
Delaware posted a 298 team score and is tied for eighth place out of 13 squads. Notre Dame leads the field at 284, while Nebraska sits in second place eight shots back.
The second round of the three-day tournament will begin at 9 a.m. Central on Monday.
