Kittelson Ties Career Low Round as Blue Hens Finish Ninth at Badger Invitational

MADISON, Wis. – Anna Kittelson tied her career low with a 70 during her final round as the Delaware women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Badger Invitational.

The Blue Hens posted their lowest team round of the tournament with a 292 on Tuesday, finishing ninth of out 13 squads with an 889 total. Nebraska captured the team title with an 863 score, while Old Dominion and Notre Dame tied for second at 874.

Alisa Khokhlova fired a 74 on the par 72, 6,248-yard University Ridge course on Tuesday, tying for 14th place among individuals with a three over par 71-74-74=219.

Kittelson had the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen, tying for 24th place with a five over par 77-74-70=221. She birdied the fifth, seventh and ninth holes while making just one bogey on Tuesday.

Christina Carroll tied for 28th place at the tournament with a six over par 74-75-73=222, while Lilia Henkel finished in 47th place with a 12 over par 76-77-75=228. Oihana Etxezarreta tied for 60th place with a 20 over par 78-76-82=236 while Lene Sperling, playing as an individual, finished 75th with a 57 over par 99-85-89=273.

Delaware returns to the course on Sept. 26-28 when the Blue Hens compete in the Golfweek Red Sky Classic in Edwards, Colo.
