Blue Hens Finish Ninth at Golfweek Red Sky Classic

WOLCOTT, Colo. – The University of Delaware women's golf team finished in ninth place at the Golfweek Red Sky Classic that concluded Wednesday.
The Blue Hens fired a 291 score on Wednesday to finish ninth out of 20 teams with an 883 total. Pepperdine easily won the team title with an 846 score, while Kennesaw State finished in second place 15 shots back.
Alisa Khokhlova, Christina Carroll and Anna Kittelson each tied for 27th place in the individual standings with five over par 221 scores on the par 72, 6,367-yard Fazio Course at Red Sky Golf Club. Khokhlova (73-76-72) posted two birdies during her final round, Carroll (70-77-74) carded three birdies and an eagle on 15, and Kittelson (73-73-75) recorded three birdies on the day.
Lexi Dart, who made four birdies during her final round, tied for 43rd place with a seven over par 73-77-73=223. Lilia Henkel, who also posted four birdies on Wednesday, tied for 56th place with a 10 over par 76-78-72=226.
The Blue Hens return to the course on Oct. 7-9 when they compete in the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in Highlands Ranch, Colo.
