CHARLESTON, S.C. – The University of Delaware men's soccer team fell to The College of Charleston, 2-0, in the Blue Hens' Colonial Athletic Association opener on Saturday.
Delaware (1-2-0, 0-1-0) held Charleston (1-1-1, 1-0-0) off the scoreboard for the first 20 minutes of the game. Chris Elliot broke through for Charleston with a goal in the 23rd minute, while Leonardo D'Ambrosio tacked on a second goal for the Cougars in the 50th minute.
Adam Vik made four saves for the Blue Hens, while Charles Giordano had two shots on goal and Einar Hardarson, Hyunjun Sun, and James Watson all added one shot on goal each. Delaware also took four corner kicks as compared to two for Charleston.

The Blue Hens return back home on Tuesday, Sept. 6 against Saint Joseph's at Stuart & Suzanne Grant Stadium in a non-conference matchup.
