Men’s Basketball Embarks on Two-Game Road Swing

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – Delaware men's basketball (10-7, 2-2 CAA) heads on the road for a pair of games as it seeks revenge at Hofstra (11-7, 4-1 CAA) and travel to Beantown for a Martin Luther King Jr. Day matchup with Northeastern (6-9, 2-2 CAA).

SCOUTING DELAWARE:
- Delaware had its best shooting half of the season against Towson, connecting on 64-percent in the first half en route to a 72-59 victory.
- Jameer Nelson Jr. continues to lead the way in scoring for Delaware, coming into this matchup averaging 19.7 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Nelson has not appeared in the last two games.
- Christian Ray scored 18 points and grabbed six rebounds against Towson. He has shouldered the load lately on offense, scoring 14 or more in three straight contests.
- Jyáre Davis has scored double figures in 30 of his last 31 games dating back to last season, scoring 16 against Towson. He is averaging 16.6 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
- Ebby Asamoah scored a season-high 17 against the Tigers. He is the best free-throw shooter on the Blue Hens, shooting at an 89.7 percent clip this year.
SCOUTING HOFSTRA:
- Hofstra enters on a three-game winning streak, dispatching Hampton, William & Mary, and Monmouth.
- Aaron Estrada, Hofstra's leading scorer, has been a thorn in the side of Delaware since he joined the Pride. In three career games against the Blue Hens, he is averaging 27.3 ppg and shooting 58-percent from the field.
- Tyler Thomas scored 20 points against the Blue Hens in December and is the second leading scorer for the Pride, averaging 14 ppg.
- Darlinstone Dubar leads the team with 93 rebounds, averaging 5.2 per game.
- Hofstra owns a 39-12 all-time record in Hempstead against Delaware and currently has a five-game winning streak against the Blue Hens.
SCOUTING NORTHEASTERN:
- Northeastern hosts Drexel on Saturday before the Hens come to town on Monday.
- The Huskies handily won at Hampton on Saturday for its second conference victory of the season.
- Junior Jahmyl Telfort is the only double digit scorer on the Huskies, coming into the Drexel game averaging 16.6 ppg and 5.1 rpg.
- Coleman Stucke scored 14 against Hampton and has hit the most three-pointers on the roster this year at 27.
- Alexander Nwagha leads the Huskies in rebounding, grabbing six per game.
