Men’s Basketball Set for Battles with Hampton, Northeastern

HAMPTON, Va. – Delaware men's basketball (11-10, 3-5 CAA) has a pair of late-week contests, heading to Hampton (4-16, 1-7) on Thursday and returning home for a nationally-televised matinee with Northeastern (8-11, 4-4) on Saturday.

SCOUTING DELAWARE:
- Delaware split with William & Mary and Drexel over the weekend, recording its highest point total (80) against the Tribe and falling in overtime in Philadelphia.
- Jameer Nelson Jr. continues to lead the way in scoring for Delaware, coming into this matchup averaging 19.8 ppg and 5.1 rpg. Nelson scored 21 at Drexel on Saturday.
- Nelson was named to the 50-player midseason watch list for the Oscar Robertson Trophy, the USBWA's National Player of the Year awarded since 1958-59.
- Jyáre Davis had a career game at Drexel, scoring a career-high 28 points on 12-of-23 shooting. He has scored double figures in 34 of his last 35 games dating back to last season and is averaging 16.8 ppg and 5.4 rpg.
- Cavan Reilly is heating up in January, averaging 8.2 ppg during this month. His 15 points and five three-pointers made at Drexel were both career highs.
