Wilkinson Tabbed CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Week

RICHMOND, Va. – James Wilkinson has been named the CAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week after an impressive 2-0 weekend to begin the campaign, the league office announced Wednesday.
Wilkinson, a first-team All-CAA selection in 2022, picked up where he left off with a pair of victories at the #1 singles spot as Delaware went 1-1 against Bucknell (6-1) and Penn State (1-6). The grad student outlasted Bucknell's Harrison Gold, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, to start the season. He earned the Blue Hens' lone point at PSU by capturing a pair of tiebreakers in a 7-6 (4), 3-6, 7-6 (5) triumph over Loren Byers.
The Blue Hens return to action on Sunday when they host Villanova at DuPont Country Club.
