Alisa Khokhlova Named CAA Women’s Golfer of the Week

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware junior women's golfer Alisa Khokhlova has been named the CAA Women's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. It is the third time that she has earned the honor in her career as she was twice named golfer of the week last spring.
Khokhlova led the way for the Blue Hens in their home tournament over the weekend. She fired a 2-under par 70 on Sunday to win the individual title of the 10th annual Lady Blue Hen Invitational. After a 1-over par in the first round, Khokhlova carded a 1-under par in the second round to sit in a tie atop the leaderboard.
Playing at the par-72 Rehoboth Beach Country Club, the Blue Hens held a 36-hole lead at 14-over par. Delaware carded a 297 on Sunday and finished third behind Harvard and Penn.

The Blue Hens wrap up the fall portion of their schedule as they travel to the Bahamas next weekend for the White Sands Invitational. The three-day tournament will be played at the Ocean Club Golf Course on Atlantis Paradise Island.
