Women’s Golf Battles to Sixth-Place Finish at White Sands Invitational

NASSAU, Bahamas – Battling winds as high as 30 MPH, the University of Delaware women's golf team placed sixth at the 11-team White Sands Invitational, hosted by the University of Santa Clara. The Blue Hens turned in team rounds of 309-309-300 to finish the three-day tournament at 54-over par. The action was played at the par-72 Ocean Club Golf Course.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens totaled 35 birdies throughout the windy tournament, led by nine from Carroll.
- Carroll carded a 2-under par 70 in the first round and was tied for the individual lead after 18 holes. She slipped to fourth after the second round, but an even-par 72 on Sunday gave her runner-up honors.
- Malosh turned in scores of 75 and 73 over the final two rounds, including four birdies during Sunday's final round, to climb up the standings and finish just outside the top 10.
