Men’s Basketball Wraps Up Non-Conference Play with Quad One Matchup Against Princeton

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team is set to host Princeton for the Blue Hens' final non-conference game of the season on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. The game will air on NBC Sports Philadelphia in addition to FloHoops.

ABOUT THE HENS
- Delaware enters Saturday's game with an 8-4 overall record and most recently fell to Rider, 88-85 in overtime, on Dec. 20. That snapped the Hens' three-game win streak.
- Jyáre Davis put up 28 points against Rider, tying his career high.
- Davis continues to lead the Hens in points per game (19.6) and is third in the CAA.
- He's joined by Gerald Drumgoole Jr. (11.7), Jalun Trent (11.2), and Cavan Reilly (11.0) for players averaging double figures.
- Christian Ray leads the team in rebounds per game (8.7) and Trent in assists per game (3.3).
- Delaware came in at No. 140 in the NET Rankings as of Dec. 27.

- Princeton is 11-1 overall record and winners of two of its last three.
- The Tigers only loss came in a 74-70 matchup against Saint Joseph's on Dec. 10.
- Delaware will be Princeton's fifth CAA opponent in non-conference action.
- Princeton and the Hens share one common opponent in Bucknell. Both squads defeated the Bison earlier this season
- Princeton's Xaivian Lee (16.9), Matt Allocco (13.6), and Caden Pierce (13.5) all average double figures per game.
- The Tigers average 77.7 points per game and allow 62.6 for a +15.1-scoring margin.

SERIES HISTORY
- Delaware and Princeton first met in 1922 as the Tigers took the first matchup 27-14.
- Princeton took the first three games until Delaware got its first win over the Tigers on Dec. 1, 1984.
