Men’s Basketball Has First CAA Bout with Stony Brook

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware men's basketball (12-14, 4-9 CAA) hosts CAA newcomer Stony Brook (9-17, 5-8) Monday night, looking to halt a three-game slide.

- Delaware comes off a 58-54 loss to Drexel at home and has lost three in a row.
- Jameer Nelson Jr. marches forward with his excellent season, averaging a team-leading 19.4 ppg after 15 against the Dragons.
- Jyáre Davis has been excellent in the month of February during his career, averaging 17.4 ppg and 7.4 rpg. Davis did not appear in the Hens' last contest.
- Over his last five games, Christian Ray has averaged 10.6 ppg and 9.6 rpg. He notched his fifth double-double of the season against Drexel.
- In three games this month, Cavan Reilly is averaging 8.7 ppg off the bench.
- Gianmarco Arletti nearly scored a double-double against Drexel with 10 points and nine rebounds.
- Stony Brook snapped a three-game skid with a 69-59 victory over North Carolina A&T on Saturday.
- Tyler Stephenson-Moore paces the Seawolves in scoring, averaging 14.8
- Frankie Policelli averages a near-double-double with 13.8 ppg and 9.4 rpg. He holds the league lead in rebounds, and in a close second is Delaware's Ray.
- Keenan Fitzmorris had a 14-point outburst against NC A&T after being held scoreless against Monmouth in the previous game.
- Stony Brook has a much worse record on the road than at home, standing at 3-10 away from Island Federal Arena.
- While the Blue Hens and Seawolves have not met in CAA play, the teams have two recent games against each other, playing to a 1-1 split in the two meetings in 2018 and 2019.
