No. 13/14/14 Men's Lacrosse Host St. John's for First Home Game of the Season

NEWARK, Del. – No. 13/14/14 Delaware men's lacrosse plays its home opener at Delaware Stadium against St. John's on Saturday, Feb. 18 at noon. Saturday's game will be the first of five home games for the Blue Hens.

- The first 300 fans in attendance will receive a complimentary 2023 men's lacrosse season schedule poster. Fans will be able to pick the posters up at the marketing table
- This season, Delaware men's lacrosse celebrates its 75th year as a program. Throughout the season, Delaware athletics will recognize and honor past teams and alums that built the program to where it is today. The 1948 team, team one, will be honored at tomorrow's game.
- The Blue Hens enter Saturday's game 2-0 after defeating Lafayette 14-5 on Saturday, Feb. 11, and Mount St. Mary's 15-6 on the road on Wednesday, Feb. 15
- Red-shirt senior attackman Tye Kurtz moved to fifth all-time for goals in a career with 130. He needs 33 more goals to surpass Curtis Dickson to own the all-time record. Kurtz leads the Blue Hens in goals with eight, and is tied for the team lead in points with 10.
- In Wednesday's win against Mount St. Mary's, JP Ward tied a career-high eight points with four goals and four assists.
- Brothers Cam and Matt Acchione, along with Tye and Reed Kurtz, combined to score eight of the Blue Hens 15 goals in Wednesday's win.
- Freshman midfielder Brendan Powers, son of former Blue Hen great Randy Powers, has registered a goal in his first two games as a Blue Hen.
- St. John's enters Saturday's game 0-1 after a 9-5 loss to Manhattan College last Saturday.
- The Red Storm was led by Connor Kalmus, who had three goals in Saturday's loss.
- Justin Turri is in his second year as the Red Storm's head coach. He has two wins in his career with St. John's
