- The Philadelphia Wings will be in attendance at Saturday's game. Students and fans will have the opportunity to take photos, and receive autographs after the conclusion of the game. In addition, students and fans will have the opportunity to receive discounted tickets for its game against the Georgia Swarm on Saturday, March 18.
- This season, Delaware men's lacrosse celebrates its 75th year as a program. Throughout the season, Delaware athletics will recognize and honor past teams and alums that built the program to where it is today. The 1961 team will be recognized at Sunday's game.
SCOUTING DELAWARE
- Delaware enters Sunday's game ranked No. 10 in the Inside Lacrosse, and USA Lacrosse Magazine polls, as well as No. 11 in the USILA poll.
- Red-shirt senior Tye Kurtz will look to break multiple records this season. He ranks third in goals at 135. He needs 12 goals to pass Charlie Kitchen to move up to fourth all-time. He ranks sixth in points with 210. He needs three points on Sunday to pass Curtis Dickson. He is also tied for second all-time in man-up goals. The next-man-up goal Kurtz scores will tie the record at 18. He needs two to break the record.
- Kurtz also ranks first in the CAA in goals with 13. The mark is tied for third in the country.
- Kurtz needs one point to extend his current streak to 50 straight games with at least a point. He would be the second Blue Hen all time to break this mark.
- JP Ward leads the CAA in points with 17, and assists with 9. He was named the CAA's Offensive Player of the Week after scoring six goals, and adding nine assists in two games. He ranks sixth in the country in assists.
- Finn Morgan was named the CAA's Rookie of the Week on Monday. Against St, John's, he scored his first career hat trick in his first career start.
- As a team, the Blue Hens rank first in the CAA in scoring margin (+8.3), save percentage (.600), and shots per game (49), are second in goals per game (15.0), assists per game (9.0), points per game (24.0).
Scouting Villanova
- The Wildcats enter this week 1-1 overall. They are receiving votes in the Inside Lacrosse, and USILA polls.
- Villanova is coming off a 20-14 loss against No. 7/7/8 Penn.
- The Wildcats are led by Patrick Daly and Matt Licata. The two have scored eight points each. Daly leads the Wildcats in goals with seven. Licata scored five goals and added three assists.
- Villanova is led by 16-year head coach Mike Corrado. He is a four-time Big East Coach of the Year.
