No. 15/16/17 Men's Lacrosse Travels to Stony Brook for CAA Contest

NEWARK, Del. – No. 15/16/17 Delaware men's lacrosse is set to travel to Stony Brook, N.Y. for a road Colonial Athletic Association contest on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m.

- The Blue Hens enter Saturday's contest with an 8-3 overall record and a 4-0 record in conference play. They are coming off a 17-7 win against Fairfield last Saturday at Delaware Stadium.
- In last Saturday's win against Fairfield, red-shirt senior attackman Tye Kurtz broke the all-time program record for points and goals, surpassing Anthony DiMarzo for points, and Curtis Dickson for goals.
- This Saturday, Kurtz needs just one point to break Dickson's record for consecutive games with at least a point at 58 straight games. In addition, he needs just one goal to break the CAA all-time goals record at 165 goals.
- Kurtz, and JP Ward leads the way offensively for the Blue Hens.
- Kurtz is tied for first in the country in points with 62, and second in the country in goals scored with 42. Ward ranks third in the country in assists with 32, and fourth in points with 56. Both Kurtz and Ward are first and second in the CAA in points, and assists.
- Delaware is one of two lone unbeaten teams in conference play, along with Drexel.
- In four conference games, the Blue Hens are averaging 17.25 goals per game, and are allowing 5.25 goals per game, leading to a + 12.0 goal differential. Delaware has scored at least 15 goals in every conference contest, and haven't allowed more than seven goals.
- As a team, the Blue Hens are second in the country in scoring margin at + 6.55, third in goals allowed at 8.45, fourth in points per game at 24.18, seventh in shot percentage at .347, eighth in goals per game 15.00, and tied for seventh in total man-up goals at 17.
- Stony Brook enters Saturday's contest with a 6-5 overall record and a 3-1 record in conference. It is coming off a 15-14 overtime loss against Drexel on the road last Saturday.
- After starting the season 2-4, the Seawolves have won four of the last five games. The Seawolves are 4-1 at home this season, with their lone loss coming against Brown back on March 4.
- Saturday marks the first time the Blue Hens and Seawolves have faced off since March 10, 2012. In the nine-game series history, the Seawolves own a 7-2 record against the Blue Hens, including a current five-game win streak. The Blue Hens last victory over the Seawolves was back on Feb. 28, 2004.
- Senior attackman Dylan Pallonetti has proven to be one of the best offensive players in the conference. He leads the Seawolves in goals with 37, assists with 17, and points with 54. He ranks second in the conference in goals, and third in assists and points. He was awarded the CAA offensive player of the week twice, back on Feb. 27, and March 27.
- Defensively, the Seawolves are led by Christian Lowd and Michael Sabella. Lowd leads the team in caused turnovers with 21, Sabella has 14.
- The Seawolves are led by fourth year head coach Anthony Gilardi. He's boasted a 28-18 record as their head coach
