PHILADELPHIA – Delaware rowing team competed at the Murphy Cup Regatta on Saturday, April 8.

Varsity Eights
Delaware opened the varsity eights with a first-place finish at 6:37.75. UD defeated Temple's varisty eights boat by more than a second c – Claire Higgins-Hart 8- Cornelia Meiss 7- Julia Rothstein 6- Ava Norton 5- Sloane Matthews 4- Ava Tine 3- Cara Nel 2- Delaney Denegar 1- Mary Quackenbush. With this performance, the Blue Hens moved onto the varsity eights finals, where they went on to finish third at 6:34.71.

Delaware also clinched a second-place finish in the third heat of the varsity eights with a time of 6:49.29 c- Grace Phillips 8- Alexia Skor 7- Alli Burns 6- Hannah Towhey 5- McKenna Twitchell 4- Tynneqa Jefferies 3- Strome Buckle 2- Harriet Gaughan 1- Meaghan Leahy

The Blue Hens rounded out the varsity eights with a third-place finish in the women's collegiate 3V varsity eights final with a time of 7:21.70 c- Kiah Beachler 8- Hanaa Abdallah 7- Olivia Hollingsworth 6- Julia Moller 5- Elena Sherman 4- Grace Diehl 3- Makana Steinmetz 2- Alexis O'Keefe 1- Alexcia Bryant

Varsity Fours
The top performance in the varsity fours came in the third heat. The Blue Hens finished first in the heat with a time of 7:34.69 c- Marytheresa Fitzpatrick 4- Blair Kennedy 3- Felicia Marcozzi 2- Raquel Levit 1- Mariah Noll

The Blue Hens started the day off with a second in the novice fours with a time of 8:03.51 c- Kerry Mullins 4- Shannon Dolt 3- Rachel Tartal 2- Sarah Donaldson 1- Kailey Grimley

Following the novice fours, the Blue Hens finished second in the first heat of the varsity fours 7:52.86 c- Olivia Kelley-Quigley 4- Maddy Singh 3- Maya Ferrer 2- Rachel Henry 1- Meghan Rogers

Delaware also finished second in the second heat of the varsity fours with a time of 8:18. c- Amina Mai 4- Grace Visser 3- Madeline Climie 2- Maria Dupnock 1- Sophia Talley.
