NEWARK, Del. – I Heart UD Giving Day is May 3, so mark your calendars! Fans of Delaware Athletics, Community & Campus Recreation can directly support more than 600 student-athletes, who represent 21 varsity athletic programs and select participating club sport programs.

I Heart UD Giving Day is an opportunity for members of the entire UD community to collectively support the Blue Hens. By being a part of I Heart UD Giving Day, your donation will go to enhancing the student-athlete experience and assist in providing the resources they need to achieve their goals.

Fans have until midnight on May 3 to donate and spread the word. Help build upon our commitment to developing inspired, conscientious, and engaged student leaders who impact the community while growing championship teams and experiences.

This year the Blue Hens will have multiple donor challenges to unlock additional gifts.

Overall Athletics Donor Challenge
750 donors unlock $10,000 to the Student-Athlete Success Fund
1,500 donors unlocks an additional $15,000 to the Student-Athlete Success Fund

Sport Specific Challenges
Top two winners in each group will receive monetary prizes towards their program

Blue: Football, Baseball, Rowing, Men's Lacrosse, Women's Lacrosse, Field Hockey, Softball, Men's Swimming & Diving, Women's Swimming & Diving, Track & Field, Cheer, Dance

Gold: Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Men's Tennis, Women's Tennis, Men's Golf, Women's Golf, Men's Soccer, Women's Soccer, Cross Country, Mascot, Volleyball

1st Place - $3,000
2nd Place - $2,000

Coach's Challenge
Every Delaware head coach has made a pledge of $5/donor to their program

DEI Fund Challenge
Chrissi Rawak, Director of Delaware Athletics, Community & Campus Recreation, is offering up a $500 challenge gift, which will be unlocked after 50 donors make a gift to the Athletics Diversity and Inclusion Fund on Giving Day.

Marching Band Challenge
Heidi Sarver, Marching Band Director, and Chrissi Rawak, Director of Delaware Athletics, Community & Campus Recreation are together offering up a $1,000 challenge gift, which will be unlocked after 50 donors make a gift to the UD Marching Band.
