Duffhuis, Bakermans, Receive CSC All-District Nods

NEWARK, Del. – Delaware field hockey student-athletes Julia Duffhuis and Berber Bakermans have been selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) At-Large Academic All-District team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
A student-athlete must have a 3.5 GPA or better, and participate in at least 50 percent of the teams contest during a season to be eligible for the award.
Duffhuis is a Geography major with a 3.5 GPA. The junior from Bergeijk, Netherlands led the Blue Hens in goals last season with 14, and added four assists. She was the Colonial Athletic Association's Defensive Player of the Year, a first team All-CAA athlete, a CAA All-Tournament team member, an NFHCA Division I Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team athlete, and a Second Team All-American.
Bakermans is a Marketing major with a 3.7 GPA. She led the Blue Hens in assists with 17, and added four goals. The junior from Best, Netherlands was a first team All-CAA athlete, who also earned a nod to the CAA All-Tournament team, and was an NFHCA Second Team All-Regional athlete.
