Generations of Savannah Seemans' family have come through University of Delaware – her grandfather David '64, aunt Ann '77, uncle Tim '86, aunt Kelly '88, aunt Terri '88, mother Colleen '92, father Dale '92, and sister Claudia.
"Hearing their experience, hearing my sister's experience, and as I got older just realizing what was important to me, being able to be close to my family, being able to still go to Sunday dinners if I needed, if I needed that little escape, or having them at my games every weekend, it just really means a lot to me," Seemans said.
The coaches and people at the university made it feel like home for her.
"Over time," Seemans said, "the buildup of people coming together and really showing me how many great memories I have there and how many more I could create at Delaware was really high-opening."

Seemans was the state's Gatorade State Player of the Year in 2019 at Saint Mark's, and was a three-time All-State selection. As a senior, she helped lead the school to the finals of the state tournament, and was an All-Conference selection in every season.
"Saint Mark's really helped me grow into the person I am today," Seemans said. "My coaches, my teammates, some of my teachers, it made me who I am today. I have some of greatest memories here with my friends. I just loved playing volleyball"
In the summer, Seemans continues to leave a legacy at Saint Mark's, as she helps coach volleyball camps at the school with her sister.
"Being able to give that to other girls and show them how much volleyball can do a lot for you and can bring you a lot of joy, specifically doing it at my high school and being able to give back to those girls, see them smile, see them play the game I love, it means a lot," Seeman said.

Entering her senior season with the Blue Hens, Seemans has 596 kills and 723 digs in 66 games played. She was a CAA All-Rookie Team selection in her first season, and ranked second on the team last year with 223 kills and 380 digs, along with leading the team in aces the last two seasons. She was a CSC Academic All-District team selection in 2022 too.
