Men’s Golf Announces 2023-24 Schedule

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware Director of Golf Patty Post has announced the men's golf schedule for the upcoming 2023-24 season. The Blue & Gold will play in 11 total tournaments, competing five times this fall before taking part in six events next spring including the 2024 CAA Championships.
The Blue Hens will jump right into action during Labor Day Weekend, making the trip north to play in the Red Bandana Invitational at Turning Stone, hosted by Boston College. The squad will make the first of three trips this fall to the state of North Carolina, competing in the River Run Collegiate, hosted by Davidson, September 11-12.
A few weeks later, UD will return to the Tar Heel State to open October at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic, hosted by ECU. The two-day tournament will be held October 2-3. Delaware finished fourth at the event last year, highlighted by top-10 finishes from but Michael Bargenda and Casper Nerpin who both tied for sixth at 1-under par.
The Blue Hens will head down to Florida for the USF Invitational on October 9-10 before closing out the fall slate with a trip back to North Carolina for the Bryan National Collegiate, hosted by UNCG from October 29-31.
The spring portion of the schedule will open in late February with a trip to Arizona for the Loyola Intercollegiate. The Blue Hens will then make the first of three spring trips to South Carolina when it competes in The Surf Club Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State, from March 11-12.
A return to North Carolina closes out March as the Blue & Gold will take part in the Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, hosted by Elon. The Blue Hens finished fifth at the same tournament last year as Jack Halleron placed 10th.
The squad will turn right around as it continues its trip in South Carolina, competing at the Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate from April 1-3. Sparky Ariyachatvakin tied for second at last year's event as UD finished second in a strong 18-team field.
Delaware will close out the regular season at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State, from April 13-14. The squad turned in a seventh-place finish at Penn State last spring with Nerpin leading the way with a top-10 showing.
The 2024 CAA Championships will be held April 21-24 at Morgan River/Cotton Dike Course in Saint Helena Island, South Carolina. Delaware finished sixth as a team in 2023 as Halleron was the lone Blue Hen in the top 10.
