Men’s Golf Posts 2-Under Par on Tuesday, Places Third at River Run Collegiate

CORNELIUS, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's golf team posted the third-best score for a single round on Tuesday, carding a 2-under par 278 on its way to finishing in a tie for third place at the River Run Collegiate, hosted by Davidson. The Blue Hens tied with the host Wildcats for third in the 18-team field at the par-70 River Run Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Sparky Ariyachatvakin led the Blue Hens for the second-straight week. He used an eagle on the 18th hole in Monday's second round to card a 69 before tying a career-high with a 67, including five birdies, on Tuesday.
Arsit Areephun had rounds of even-par in the first and third rounds, while Egor Zubov carded a 1-under par in Monday's first round.
Jack Halleron shot an even-par 70 on Tuesday while Casper Nerpin shot a 69 in the first round.
Delaware totaled 41 birdies and an eagle over the three rounds.

UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will return to the Tar Heel State October 2-3 for the Ironwood Collegiate Classic, hosted by East Carolina University.
