Women’s Golf Ties Single Round Record, Finishes Fifth at Golfweek Fall Challenge

PAWLEY'S ISLAND, N.C. – The University of Delaware women's golf team tied a program record with a 6-under par 278 on Tuesday to place fifth at the season-opening Golfweek Fall Challenge at the par-71 Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. The Blue Hens carded the lowest team score of the 18-team field during Tuesday's final round to move up six places.

The Blue Hens will return to action next weekend when they travel to Wisconsin for the Badger Invitational. The three-day, three-round tournament will be held September 17-19.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Henkel recorded a tournament-low 66 on Tuesday, tying for the second-lowest score for an individual single round in Delaware history. She had an eagle and two birdies on three-consecutive holes while tallying three other birdies on the day.
- Khokhova carded four birdies over a six-hole stretch on Tuesday to close out her tournament with a 2-under par and rise 15 spots in the rankings and record a top-10 finish.
- Carroll posted 13 birdies across her 54 holes, including six on Tuesday.
- In her collegiate debut, Malosh fired a 1-under par on Tuesday with five birdies.
- Clausen improved in each round in her collegiate debut, wrapping up play with a 1-under par on Tuesday.
