Women’s Golf Places Third at Stacked Badger Invitational

VERONA, Wisc. – The University of Delaware women's golf team had a successful weekend in Wisconsin, placing third among a tough 15-team field at the Badger Invitational. The Blue Hens turned in a three-round score of 874 (292-286-296) to finish just one stroke behind the host Badgers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Malosh carded consecutive rounds of 1-under par to open the tournament and finished with her first top-10 finish of her collegiate career. She finished the tournament with 11 total birdies.
Khokhova used a clean scorecard on Monday, posting four birdies for a 4-under par 68 to vault up the standings. Her Monday score is tied for the ninth-best single round in UD history.
Carroll fired an even-par on Monday and carded seven birdies overall.
In her first tournament in Delaware's lineup, Clausen turned in two rounds of 1-under par 71 and finished with eight total birdies and an eagle on Tuesday.
Henkel posted six birdies over the final two days to overcome a slow start to the tournament.

UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will make the trip to the West Coast for the Molly Collegiate Invitational, hosted by the University of California. The two-day, three-round tournament will be held September 25-26.
