Men’s Basketball Readies for William & Mary and Monmouth

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team will face WIlliam & Mary and Monmouth this week with a trip to face the Tribe Thursday at 7 p.m. followed by a Saturday matinee against the Hawks at 2 p.m. in Newark. Thursday's game will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.

ABOUT THE HENS

Delaware enters play with a 4-4 record in CAA play and 12-9 overall.
Jyáre Davis currently leads the CAA and ranks 26th nationally in free throw percentage shooting at an 88.8 percent clip from the charity stripe. Davis is also sixth in the CAA with 18.6 points per game.
Christian Ray's 8.9 rebounds per game is good for second in the league, only behind Hampton's Kyrese Mullen's 9.2 per game.
Ray is 29 points and 28 rebounds away from 1,000 for his career.
The Hens will enter Thursday's contest at 4-0 on the year when playing on Thursdays.
Delaware is sixth in the CAA in scoring, averaging 75.3 points per game.
UD is fourth in both points allowed (71.0) and scoring margin (+4.3).

ABOUT THE TRIBE

William & Mary is 8-13 overall and 3-5 in CAA play.
The Tribe come off a 64-55 loss to Hofstra and a 72-68 win over Northeastern last week.
William & Mary feature four players averaging double figure scoring totals with Gabe Dorsey (13.6), Trey Moss (13.4), Noah Collier (13.0), and Chase Lowe (12.5).
William and Mary is currently eighth in the CAA in both scoring (72.4 ppg) and scoring margin (+0.1).

ABOUT THE HAWKS

Monmouth enters its game on Thursday against Drexel with an 11-10 record and 4-4 in CAA play.
The Hawks fell to Stony Brook 72-65 before they topped Hofstra 81-78 last week.
Xander Rice's 21.6 points per game leads the CAA and is good for seventh in the nation.
Nikita Konstantynovskyi leads the Hawks with 7.2 rebounds per game, followed by Jack Collins's 6.8.

SERIES HISTORIES

Thursday's contest against William & Mary will be the 47th meeting between the two programs with UD leading 29-18, including a three-game win streak.
Saturday's contest between the Hens and Hawks will be the 10th all-time. Monmouth leads the series 6-4, including taking the past three.
