Field Hockey Falls in Road Contest Against William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – University of Delaware field hockey fell at William & Mary on Friday for its first CAA loss of the season, 2-1. The Blue Hens dip to 6-6 overall and 3-1 in league play, while the Tribe advance to 1-11, 1-2 CAA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Lulu Fulton scored her third goal of the season with Janne Stoetzer adding the assist.
- Cecile van Eijck (6-6) made one save.
- UD tallied nine penalty corners compared to the Tribe's four.
- After a first quarter goal by the hosts, the Hens tallied the equalizer in the third quarter after Stoetzer sent a feed into the circle and Fulton tipped it past the keeper.
- With less than seven minutes remaining in the game, William & Mary scored the eventual game winner.
Delaware heads to No. 16 Princeton on Sunday.
