Siekanowicz to Represent Hens at ITA Men's Sectional Championships

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware men's tennis freshman Piotr Siekanowicz is set to compete in the ITA Men's Sectional Championships at UNC Chapel Hill next weekend. Siekanowicz earned his spot in the 32 player draw after his performance at the ITA Men's Northeast Regionals earlier in the fall. The other athletes in the draw hail from universities across the Northeast, Atlantic, Carolina, and New England.

"I am incredibly proud as a coach for Piotr to qualify into ITA Sectionals down at UNC Chapel Hill," head coach Marc Pibernat said. "He will be competing against the best players in the country to qualify for a spot in the NCAA individual tournament. This is an incredible opportunity for Piotr and the University of Delaware Men's Tennis program to be a part of."

The competitors will battle for for a spot at the NCAA Singles Championship at the end of the month hosted by Baylor University.
