Field Hockey Drops Heartbreaker to No. 7 Saint Joseph’s in Overtime

NEWARK, Del. – In heartbreaking fashion, the University of Delaware field hockey team fell Sunday afternoon to No. 7 Saint Joseph's 1-0 in overtime. The Blue Hens slip to 6-5 overall, while the Hawks move to 9-2.

- Cecile van Eijck (6-5) tallied another outstanding performance in cage, tying a season-best eight saves.
- Cameron Medinger recorded her fourth defensive save of the season.
- St. Joe's took a penalty stroke during the 34th minute, but van Eijck shut it down.
- Deep into the overtime period, the Hawks converted a penalty corner for the golden-goal victory.
