Women's Soccer Dropped Conference Match at Monmouth

WEST BRANCH, N.J. - The University of Delaware women's soccer program dropped a Coastal Athletic Association game against Monmouth by a score of 1-0 on Sunday.

With the loss, the Blue Hens overall record if 6-5-2 and 4-1 in CAA play.

ON THE RECORD

"We played some great soccer today. Really proud of the character and the attention to details. We were able to go deep in to our bench today which was helpful. Game changers were great. Especially players that didn't go in. Thought they brought great energy. Chins are up as we put in a very good performance today." head coach Kelly Lawrence said.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Offensively, Morgan Tilley, Caitlin St. Leger and Olivia Bley each had a shot on goal.
Kyla Burns started all 90 minutes of the game. She had seven saves on the day.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Monmouth scored the game winning goal with just over two minutes to play.

Monmouth owns the series lead 10-1

UP NEXT

UD will host two conference games at Grant Stadium against Drexel on Thursday Oct. 10 at 6 p.m. and Stony Brook on Sunday Oct. 13 at 1 p.m.
