Namakonov Breaks Second Program Record on Day Two of Bucknell Invitational

LEWISBURG, Pa. – For the second day in a row, the University of Delaware men's swimming & diving athlete Matvei Namakonov broke a program record at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 23
Namakonov broke the record in the 100 breast with a time of 51.63. He broke Toni Sabev's previous record, which was set at the CAA Championships last season. He finished first in the event. Namakonov also broke the record in the 50 free with a time of 19.72.
Namakonov and Toni Sabev (52.34 seconds) earned NCAA B Cuts with their times in the 100 breast. They finished in first and second.
After day two, the Blue Hens are in first place with 941 points out of six teams.
RESULTS
Day three starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow with the finals starting at 5 p.m.

RESULTS
- Kaloyan Levterov (48.08) and Gavin Currie (48.21) were the top two finishers in the 100 back A finals. DJ Fechtman also competed in the A finals and finished sixth with a time of 49.01.
- Dylan Smolders (3:56.25) and Max Moen (3:59.05) were second and fourth in the 400 IM.
- Philip Townsend was second the 1-meter dive with a score of 279.65. John Furner (266.85) and Kevin Siegfried (265.50) were fifth and sixth.
- The 800 freestyle relay team of Levterov, Addison Collins, Gavie Currie and James Haney were fifth with a time of 6:38.68.
- Collins was sixth in the 200 free at 1:39.24 in the A finals.
- Kade Snyder finished seventh in the 100 fly A final with a time of 50.17
Day three starts at 10 a.m. tomorrow with the finals starting at 5 p.m.
