Offensive Explosion Leads Men’s Basketball Past Reigning Ivy League Champions Yale, 100-94

UNCASVILLE, Conn. – With an offensive explosion, University of Delaware men's basketball (3-3) surged past the defending Ivy League Champions Yale (4-4), 100-94, Sunday evening on national television. It is the first time since March 4, 2001, that the Blue Hens scored 100 points against a division I opponent in a non-overtime game.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS
- Delaware had season-highs in points (100), field-goal percentage (.527), three-point field goal percentage (.471), three pointers (16), assists (17), and points in a half (49 in the second).
- UD went 14-of-16 from the line in the first period, boasting its 19th-ranked free throw percentage nationally. The Hens finished the game 26-of-30 (86.7 percent).
- The Blue Hens outrebounded the Bulldogs 34-31.
- John Camden scored a career-high 30 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including 7-of-11 from deep, and a perfect 5-of-5 from the line. He also snagged a career-best eight rebounds.
- Cavan Reilly tallied a season-high 23 points, going 5-of-10 from deep and 8-of-8 from the stripe.
- Izaiah Pasha poured in 17 points and a career-high nine rebounds.
- Erik Timko (13) and Tahron Allen (11) rounded out the double-figure scorers.
- The first 18 points of the game were evenly split for nine apiece at the under-16 timeout. All nine of Delaware's points came via three pointers with Reilly connecting on one and Camden on a pair. The Hens used an 8-0 run over 2:53 to pull ahead 17-11 at 12:10 with five of the eight coming from Camden. The Bulldogs pulled within one at 25-24 with 9:25 left. The teams remained back-and-forth before UD used another 10-0 run over 3:07 to go ahead 40-31 with 3:33 remaining. The Blue & Gold held Yale scoreless for over four minutes before the Bulldogs converted to make it 43-34 at 2:07. UD took a 47-42 lead into the locker room after Camden hit a triple at the buzzer.
- Delaware picked up where it left off to begin the second half. The Hens outpaced their counterparts 14-2 up to the under-16 timeout at 15:51, including an 11-0 run over the final 2:42. Yale was held scoreless for the previous 3:20. Yale clawed back to cut the 16-point deficit to 10 at 66-56 with 12:24 remaining. Delaware would build the lead back up to as many as 15 points with Yale not closing to gap to any less than four.
- Kobe Jerome made his season debut.
- It is the first win in program history over Yale.
- The 16 three pointers tie the most in a game under Martin Ingelsby (December 5, 2020 vs Salem).
- Delaware scored 108 points against Bryant in an overtime win on December 21, 2013.
- The Hens have scored 100 points multiple times on non-division I opponents more recently.
