Men’s Basketball Heads to Rider

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team (3-3) heads to the Garden State for a matchup with the Rider Broncs (4-3) on Saturday at 2 p.m. in the first of a renewed home-and-home series.

ABOUT THE HENS

Delaware is coming off its best game of the season, defeating Yale, the reigning Ivy League champs and NCAA Tournament Second Round team, 100-94.
John Camden paces the team in scoring, averaging 18.7 points per game which is fifth in the CAA. He leads the league and is 24^th nationally in three-point field-goal percentage.
During the week of November 18-24, Camden was second in the nation with 76 points in three games, behind only CJ Hines of Alabama State, who had 79 points in four games.
Against Yale, Camden became the first Blue Hen in four years to make seven threes in a game (Nate Darling, 2/6/20 vs. Towson).
Niels Lane (13.8), Cavan Reilly (13.5), Izaiah Pasha (10.3), and Erik Timko (10.2) are also scoring in double figures on average.
Pasha was named the CAA Rookie of the Week after his performances against Bryant, Vermont, and Yale. He averaged 14.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game while shooting 53.6 percent (15-of-28) overall, 42.7 percent (3-of-7) from long range, and 84.6 percent (11-of-13) from the line.

ABOUT THE BRONCS

Rider is coming off a 24-point loss at Villanova.
Head coach Kevin Bagget is in his 13th season at the helm of the Broncs.
Ten of the 15 players on the roster are a junior, senior, or grad student.
T.J. Weeks Jr. leads Rider in scoring and rebounding, averaging 12.1 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

SERIES HISTORY

Delaware owns a 33-31 record all-time against Rider.
The Blue & Gold are 1-1 against the Broncs under head coach Martin Ingelsby.
