Men’s Basketball Heads to North Carolina for Dates with Elon and NC A&T

NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware men's basketball team looks to extend its four-game win streak during a pair of road contests at Elon on Thursday at 7 p.m. and at NC A&T on Saturday at 2 p.m.

ABOUT THE HENS

Delaware enters Thursday's contest playing some of its best basketball all season, having won four straight and five of the last six for an 8-4 record in CAA action and a 16-9 record overall.
The Hens are currently in a four-way tie for third place in the conference standings, behind Charleston and UNCW.
Christian Ray joined the 1,000-point club on Feb. 3 in UD's 84-80 win against Monmouth and then the 1,000-rebound club in Delaware's 74-62 win over Towson on Feb. 8. He's one of 12 active players to accomplish both.
UD features four players averaging double figure scoring with Jyáre Davis continuing to lead the pack with 18.3 ppg, good for fifth in the CAA.
Gerald Drumgoole. Jr. averages 13.1 ppg while Niels Lane and Cavan Reilly are averaging 10.0 ppg apiece.
Lane has tallied double figures in nine of the last 12 games, compared to just three times in his first 13 games.
The Hens have won three of their last four games by double digits, outscoring their opponents 308-253 across the four-game win streak.
Delaware is currently third in the CAA in scoring, averaging 75.6 ppg.
The Hens lead the league in field goal percentage at .473 and are fourth in the CAA with a +5.8 scoring margin.

ABOUT THE PHOENIX

Elon enters Thursday's contest with a 10-15 overall record and 3-9 in CAA action.
The Phoenix have lost two in a row and three of their last four games, falling 79-64 to Stony Brook and 80-55 to Towson most recently.
Elon sports three players in double figures with TK Simpkins leading the way with 12.0 ppg.
Max Mackinnon and Rob Higgins average 11.8 and 10.9 ppg, respectively.
Elon enters Thursday's contest fourth in the CAA in offense with 74.8 ppg, but is 12th in defense, allowing 76.6 ppg for a -1.8 scoring margin.

ABOUT THE AGGIES

NC A&T enters Saturday's contest with a 7-18 overall record and is 5-7 in CAA play. The Aggies will take on UNCW on Thursday.
The Aggies are 1-3 in their last four games, having dropped the last three in a row to Elon, Charleston, and Hofstra.
Landon Glasper is second in the CAA and 11th in the nation in scoring, averaging 21.3 ppg.
Camian Shell is second on the Aggies with 12.3 ppg.
N.C. A&T is last in the CAA in both offense and defense, scoring just 67.1 ppg while allowing 78.8 for a -11.7 scoring margin.

SERIES HISTORIES

Delaware holds a 12-8 record all-time over Elon, winning the last eight meetings.
Head coach Martin Ingelsby is 8-3 in his career against the Phoenix with the last meeting being a 70-54 win on Feb. 25 of last season.
The Hens come into Saturday's contest with a 2-0 all-time record over the Aggies.
