GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Delaware men's basketball rallied in the second half for a 62-54 road win against North Carolina A&T Saturday afternoon. The Blue Hens advance to 17-10 overall and 9-5 in league play, while the Aggies drop to 7-20, 5-9 CAA.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Gerald Drumgoole Jr. led all players with 23 points on 9-of-15 shooting.
Jalun Trent recorded 10 points off the bench and added five rebounds and two blocks.
Jyáre Davis tallied seven points, six rebounds, three assists, and two blocks.
Christian Ray finished with seven points and nine rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Despite scoring the first bucket of the game, Delaware struggled through the first half of the opening frame. The home team led 16-9 at the under-12 media timeout. The Hens cut the deficit to five after a triple from Wes Peterson Jr. at the 7:25 mark. The final 16 points were traded with the Aggies up 28-23. Delaware's 23 points is the fewest in a half this season.
The Hens continued to battle back, cutting the gap to 35-31 after a drive and finish from Drumgoole Jr. with an extra coming after the media break at 15:07. Making nine of their next 11 field goals and a 11-0 run over 3:50, the Hens pulled ahead 51-44 with 7:42 left at the media stoppage. The Aggies would remain scoreless for 4:57 before connecting on a free throw at 7:01. Delaware continued to pull away for a 61-51 lead with 1:46 remaining. The Hens' defense held the home team to 1-of-13 over its previous 14 attempts with no field goals for 3:49.
