GREENSBORO, Ga. – The University of Delaware women's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule over the weekend, finishing in a tie for fifth place at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational, hosted by Mercer University. Playing at the Great Waters Golf Course (Par 72 / 6,018 yards), the Blue Hens turned in team rounds of 296-312-298 to finish the three-day tournament at 42-over par.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue Hens turned in a team scored of 8-over par 296 during Friday's opening round to sit in second place behind only Mercer.
Khokhlova was the tournament leader after 18 holes after carding a 2-under par 70 on Friday. She birdied four-straight holes over the back nine to take the top spot after the first day. She finished with 10 birdies over the three rounds to record her third top-10 finish of the season.
Etxezarreta (73) and Malosh (74) both carded their best rounds of the tournament on Sunday to climb up the standings and finish tied for 21st and 31st, respectively.
Freshman Julia Paviet made her collegiate debut, playing as an individual.

Delaware will travel to Florida March 15-17 for the three-day Florida State Match Up in Tallahassee.
