Malirz Tabbed CAA Men’s Tennis Player of the Week for Second Time This Season

RICHMOND, Va. – University of Delaware men's tennis' Karol Malirz has been named CAA Men's Tennis Player of the Week for the second time this season, the league announced Tuesday.
Malirz posted a pair of wins at No. 1 singles as then-No. 46 Delaware remained unbeaten (7-0) by beating Bryant (6-1) and unbeaten CAA foe Monmouth (4-3) last week. The junior battled past Bryant's Otakar Ungerman, 6-2, 7-6 (4). At Monmouth, he provided the match-clinching point with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Mateo Bival as the Hens rallied after dropping the doubles point for the first time this season.
Marlirz and the No. 32 Hens return to action on Friday at noon when they host Navy at Elkton Indoor Tennis.
