NEWARK, Del. - The University of baseball team finishes the weekend with a 7-6 win over Quinnipiac on Sunday, March 10 at Bob Hannah Stadium.

With the win, the Blue Hens overall record goes to 8-6 overall, and have won the last three series.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

As a team, the Blue Hens hit 9-of-32 from the plate, drove in six RBI's, walked seven times, and struck out four.
Individually, the Blue Hens were led by Joey Loynd. He went 3-for-4 on the day, walked once and scored once. Jake Dunion was the other Blue Hens with multiple hits. He went 2-for-3 on the day, driving in one run and walking once.
Doug Marose started the game for the Blue Hens, pitching 2.2 innings, allowing three earned runs off three hits, walked four batters and struck out one.
Carter Welch pitched in relief for the 3 innings, allowing three earned runs off six hits, and striking out two batters.
Owen Margolis pitched 0.1 innings and was credited with the win after striking out one batter.
Anthony Gubitosi pitched the final 2.2 innings, didn't allow any hits, walked two batters and struck out six en route to his second save of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue Hens got the game going with a two-run home run from Brett Lesher in the bottom of the seventh, his second of the season.
After the Bobcats had three runs in the third inning, the Blue Hens rallied four straight runs between the third and fifth inning to make it a 6-3 game.
The Bobcats didn't go away and hit a 3-run home run to tie the game at 6-6 in the top of the sixth.
Jake Dunion hit the go-ahead single in the bottom of the sixth to make it 7-6.
