Baseball Drops Mid Week Game to Georgetown

NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware baseball team drops a midweek game to Georgetown by a score of 11-3 on Wednesday at Bob Hannah Stadium.Â
HEN HIGHLIGHTS

As a team, the Blue Hens went 9-for-35 from the plate, hit one home run, drove in three runs, walked once, and struck out 10 times,Â

Individually, the Blue Hens had multi hit games from Bryce Greenly (2-for-3, RBI), Eric Ludman (2-for-3, HR, RBI), and Aiden Stewart (2-for-4 2B).Â

Nate Rolka started the game for the Blue Hens and was credited with the decision. He pitched 1.2 innings, gave up four earned runs off three hits, struck out three batters and walked five. In relief for Rolka was Ethan Shaub, Elias Conway, Wyatt Nelson and Christian Colmery.
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ

After the Hoyas scored six runs between the first three innings, the Blue Hens got on the board with an RBI single from Bryce Greenly scoring Tyler Leach. They scored a second run after Andrew Amato got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Eric Ludman hit a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth to make it an 11-3 game.
