NEWARK, Del. - The University of baseball team dropped the second game of the three game series against Rutgers by a score of 27-13 on Saturday.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

The Blue Hens went (12-of-37) from the plate on Saturday. They drove in 13 RBI's off 12 hits, walked 12 times, struck out seven times and left 13 runners on base.
Tyler August started the game for the Blue Hens. He pitched 1.1 innings, gave up seven earned runs off four hits, walked five batters and struck out two. In relief were Eli Atiya, Elias Conway, Alex Tawa, Wyatt Nelson and Eric Ludman.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue Hens got things going offensively with two runs in the bottom of the first off of infield singles from Andrew Amato and Jake Dunion.
The Scarlet Knights scored 16 unanswered runs between the second and fifth innings.

GAME NOTES

The series between the Blue Hens and Scarlet Knights is now at 34-34.
