BUIES CREEK, N.C. - The University of Delaware baseball team dropped a Coastal Athletic Association game against No. 21/22 Campbell by a score of 9-6 on Saturday.

With the loss, the Blue Hens record drops to 10-11 overall and are 1-1 in conference play

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

The Blue Hens went 9-of-36 from the plate, drove in six RBI's, walked twice, and struck out nine times.
Andrew Amato led the Blue Hens offensively. He went 3-of-4 (2 2B) and scored three times. Amato, along with Jake Dunion (2-of-4, 2 runs scored) and Aiden Stewart (2-of-4, 2 RBI) had multiple hits
Starting for the Blue Hens today was Doug Marose. He went five innings, allowing three earned runs off five hits, walked one batter and struck out six. Carter Welch came in relief for UD. He pitched two innings, allowing five runs, four of which were earned, off four hits, struck out two batters, and walked one. He was credited with the decision. Elias Conway pitched the final inning, allowing one earned run off two hits. He walked and struck out a batter in the frame.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue Hens got off to a 4-0 lead scoring two runs in the second and fourth innings.
In the second inning, Aiden Stewart drove in the game's first run with an RBI single followed by an Aaron Graeber ground out that scored Jake Dunion.
In the fourth inning, Aidan Kane grounded out to score Andrew Amato and Graeber got his second RBI of the game with a single.
After the Camels rallied off five runs in the fifth and sixth innings, Bryce Greenly tied the game at 5-5 with a sacrifice fly.
Despite an RBI single from Stewart in the top of the eighth, the Camel offense scored four runs between the seventh and eighth innings.
