Softball Announces Schedule Changes For This Weekend Against Charleston

NEWARK, Del. - University of Delaware softball has announced their weekend series against Charleston has been altered due to the threat of inclement weather. Delaware will now play a doubleheader tomorrow at 1:00 and 3:30 p.m., then Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
A decision will be made on potentially moving Saturday's game to Sunday at 1:00 p.m. after the conclusion of gametwo on Friday. The Blue Hens were originally scheduled to play their CAA-opening series Friday at 5:00 p.m., Saturday at 3:00 p.m., and Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Delaware enters the weekend at 10-6, and as the two-time reigning CAA regular season champions. Julz Garber leads the team with a batting average of .400, while Gianna Costaro has hit five home runs so far during her freshman season. Emily Winburn has a 2.45 ERA, and Morgan Hess has a team-leading 35 strikeouts.Â
