Areephun Earns Second CAA Men’s Golfer of the Week Honor

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware men's golfer Arsit Areephun has been named the CAA Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. The award, his second of the season and his career, recognizes Areephun's performance at last week's Golfweek/AGT Intercollegiate.
Playing at the True Blue Golf Club (Par 72, 6,940 yards) in Pawleys Island, South Carolina, Areephun recorded his fourth top-10 finish of the season as he tied for 10th in the 100-player field. He turned in a round of 1-under par 71 to open the tournament, carding three birdies on the back nine, before recording a 2-under par 70 in the second round to finish at 3-under par. The tournament was shortened to 36 holes as inclement weather washed out the third round.
The Blue Hens turned in rounds of 290 and 291 to finish at 3-over par and place 11th in the 19-team field.
UP NEXT
Delaware will close out the regular season this weekend at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State. The two-day, three-round tournament will be played April 13-14 and will be UD's final tuneup before the CAA Championships.
