NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware baseball team dropped the second of a three game series against Northeastern by a score of 10-9 on Saturday at Bob Hannah Stadium.

With the loss, the Blue Hens record is 17-16 overall and 5-6 in Coastal Athletic Association play.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Brett Lesher (3-for-4, 3 RBI, 2B) and Bryce Greenly (2-for-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI, BB) were the lone Blue Hens with multiple hits.
Starting on the mound for UD was Doug Marose. He went three innings, gave up five earned runs off five hits, walked three batters and struck out one. In relief were Eli Atiya and Owen Margolis. Atiya went 5.2 innings, gave up five earned runs off five hits and struck out eight batters. He was credited with the decision. Margolis pitched the final 0.1 innings.

HOW IT HAPPENED

After the Huskies put up four runs in the first two half innings, the Blue Hens took the lead with a five run bottom of the second. Brett Lesher got the rally started with a two RBI double, and Eric Ludman gave the Blue Hens the lead with a three run home run to give the Blue Hens a 5-4 lead.
UD added onto its lead with a two run home run from Bryce Greenly in the bottom of the fourth, followed by an RBI single from Brett Lesher to extend its lead to 8-5.
The Huskies went on top of the ninth inning rally and scored four runs to take a 10-8 lead. Greenly hit his second home run of the game in the bottom of the ninth but would not be enough.
