Men’s Golf Takes Eighth at Rutherford Intercollegiate

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The University of Delaware men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State over the weekend. Playing in a challenging 14-team field, the Blue Hens carded team rounds of 302-290-297 to finish at 37-over par. The tournament was played at the Penn State Blue Course (Par 71 / 7,171 yards).

· T8. Arsit Areephun – 69-71-77=217 (+4)
· T30. Casper Nerpin – 77-74-72=223 (+10)
· T38. Sparky Ariyachatvakin – 77-74-74=225 (+12)
· T42. Matthew Homer – 79-71-76=226 (+13)
· T71. Jack Halleron – 79-83-75=237 (+24)
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Areephun had four birdies in the first round and a pair of eagles in the second to sit atop the leaderboard at 2-under par through 36 holes.
- Nerpin used three birdies on the front nine of Sunday's final round to card a 1-over par 72 and climb up seven spots in the rankings.
UP NEXT
The Blue Hens will head south for the 2024 CAA Championships in Saint Helena Island, South Carolina. The three-day tournament will be held April 21-23.
