Graeber's Strong Offensive Performance Leads to Baseball Win Over North Carolina A&T

GREENSBORO, N.C. - The University of Delaware baseball team defeated Coastal Athletic Association foe North Carolina A&T by a score of 13-6 on Friday.Â
With the win, the Blue Hens overall record is 19-17 and are now 7-6 in CAA play.
HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Aaron Graeber led the way, going 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI's and two doubles. Graeber, along with Andrew Amato (2-for-4, BB), Chris Dengler (2-for-4, HBP), and Brett Lesher (3-for-5, 2 RBI) had multiple hits.

Starting on the mound for UD was Doug Marose. He pitched six innings, allowed four earned runs off seven hits, and struck out two batters. He was credited with the win. In relief was Eli Atiya, Wyatt Nelson and Christian Colmery. The three pitched the final three innings, allowed two runs on six hits.

The Aggies got on the board first with a three run first inning. The Blue Hens first run of the game came on a balk in the top of the second.

Aaron Graeber scored the next four runs for UD off two home runs. His first was a three run home run in the top of the third inning, tying the game at 4-4. He gave UD its first lead of the game with his second home run, a solo shot to left field, in the top of the sixth.Â

Graeber continued to hit well from the plate as he garnered his fifth and sixth RBI's of the game with a double, and Brett Lesher drove in two runs with a single to extend the Blue Hens lead to 9-4.

Josearmando Diaz's three run home run in the top of the eighth was his third home run of the week.Â
- Eric Ludman hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth to extend the Blue Hen lead to 13-4.Â
