Three Under Par Leads Men’s Golf to Fifth-Place Finish at CAA Championship

SAINT HELENA ISLAND, S.C. – Led by three Blue Hens that finished under par, the University of Delaware men's golf team finished in fifth place at the 2024 CAA Championship. Played at the Dataw Island Club (Par 72, 6,849 yards), UD placed fifth in the 11-team field with a three-day score of 289-290-293 to finish at 8-over par.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens totaled 46 birdies and three eagles over the three rounds. The squad was in sixth place after carding a 1-over par in the first round before moving up to the fifth after 36 holes.
- Making his championship debut, Homer was UD's top finisher as he recorded consecutive rounds under par over the first two days. He had four birdies in each of the first two rounds and added an eagle on Sunday.
- Ariyachatvakin started strong on Sunday with two eagles and a birdie in his first seven holes. He finished with 10 total birdies over the three days and was under par on both Sunday and Monday.
- Areephun totaled 11 birdies over the three rounds, including five on Tuesday when he carded a team-best round of 2-under par to make a jump in the standings.
