DALLAS – University of Delaware senior men's golfer Aryan Vuradi has been named the Conference USA Men's Golfer of the Week, as announced by the league office on Wednesday. The award recognizes Vuradi's performance at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate earlier this week.
Vuradi led the Fightin' Blue Hens with his best individual showing, tying for third place with a 5-under par 208. The senior followed that up with a 3-under par 68 in the second round, hitting four more birdies, and finished with 14 total birdies over his 54 holes. His score of 134 over the first two round is tied for the fifth-best 36-hole score in Delaware history.
The third-place finish his Vuradi's best-career finish and his first time this season finishing under par for a three-round tournament.
It is the third weekly award of the season for Delaware as Arsit Areephun previously earned the honor on September 17 and February 11.
