NEWARK, Del. - The University of Delaware baseball team defeated George Washington in a non-conference midweek game at Bob Hannah Stadium on Tuesday by a score of 8-4.

With the win, the Blue Hens overall record improved to 24-19.

HEN HIGHLIGHTS

Three Blue Hens recorded multiple hits, Aaron Graber (3-for-3, RBI, BB), Bryce Greenly (2-for-4, RBI) and Brett Lesher (2-for-4, HR, 4 RBI).
Starting on the mound was Elias Conway. He pitched three shutout innings, He allowed just one hit, struck out three batters, and walked two.
In relief were Christian Colmery, Nate Rolka, and Owen Margolis. Colmery pitched three innings, allowed one earned run off four hits, struck out three batters and walked one. He was credited with the win and is now 3-0 on the season.
Rolka and Margolis pitched the final three innings. They allowed three runs, two earned, off three hits, walked two and struck out four batters.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Blue Hens offense got off to a fast start, scoring three runs in the second inning.
Tyler Leach and Lesher both drove in a run with a double to the right center, followed by a Greenly single to make it 3-0.
In the bottom of the fifth, Graeber drove in Andrew Amato off a single, and Lesher hit a three-run home run, his seventh of the season.
Chris Dengler added to the Blue Hen's lead off an RBI double to right center field to make it 8-1.
George Washington scored a run in each of the last three innings, but couldn't mount a comeback.
