NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – University of Delaware women's lacrosse standout Madison Hranicka has been named an Inside Lacrosse All-American Honorable Mention and to the IWLCA Mid-Atlantic Region Second Team, the organizations announced Thursday. This is her second all-american honor after being named a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American Honorable Mention last week and marks the second-consecutive season that the Mendham, New Jersey native has picked up an all-region honor.
The back-to-back CAA Defensive Player of the Year posted another record-breaking season for the Blue & Gold. For the second-consecutive year, she ranked third nationally in caused turnovers per game (3.56) and finished third nationally in ground balls per game (3.94).
Her 57 caused turnovers in 2024 are good for second in a season in CAA history and most in a single season in school history, surpassing her mark of 50 last season. Her 140 in her Blue Hens career rank fourth in league history and most at UD. Hranicka's 11 caused turnovers vs. Lafayette this season are a CAA single-game record.
She also set the school's modern era ground balls record with 153 over the course of her career.
