Rowing Earns Two All-CAA Honors as Varsity 4 Collects Bronze Medal at Conference Championships

COOPER RIVER, N.J. - University of Delaware's rowing program finished in fifth place at the CAA Conference Championships, concluding on May 18, 2024. The Blue Hens' Varsity 4 earned a bronze medal with a third-place finish.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
Varsity 4
- The Varsity 4 followed up yesterday's strong performance with a third-place finish with a time of 8:09.222 in the finals, edging out UCSD and finishing just behind Northeastern and Connecticut. Delaware came from behind to beat out UCSD, as both battled their way down the stretch after UCSD led them a majority of the way.Â
- The Third Varsity 8 finished in second place with a time of 7:25.795 to begin day two of the championship, bested only by Northeastern. The Blue Hens got off to a quick start and held off third-place Drexel for the remainder of the race.Â

- The Varsity 8 placed fifth in the final race of the weekend with a time of 7:12.051, finishing ahead of Connecticut.Â
- Delaware's Second Varsity 8 had a time of 7:23.616.
